Clayton Burkenbine, Devin Hooker

Seventh and eighth grade students: please remember to be checking due dates for red social studies textbooks. We have a lot of those going out and we need plenty coming back in so we don’t run out. Thanks for your help.

It is Breast Cancer Awareness month. We will be selling items at the Student Store, such as Bracelets for $1 and tattoos for $.25. For every item that you purchase, you will get a pink ribbon on your locker. Every Friday we will be having an event that will cost $1. This Friday will be “Hat Day”. You can pay for Hat Day at the front entrance of the school and at the entrance where the buses drop you off. All donations will go to Breast Cancer.

Students ages 11-13 are invited to enter the Lions Club Peace Poster contest – Local Prize is $25.00. Regionally there will also be 25 Merit Award Winners receiving $500. This year’s theme is “Peace, Love and Understanding” – posters will be judged on originality, artistic merit and expression of the theme. Posters are due Friday, October 31st. You can pick up more information in the office. If you need help, guidance and supplies you may also contact Mr. Larson.

If you have checked out a red social studies textbook, they need to be turned in to the library as soon as possible. We love that you are borrowing these textbooks, but be aware of due dates and get them returned as soon as you can so others are able to borrow as well.

If you are interested in being part of the Yearbook Club come to PSR on Tuesday after school and find out what we have planned for this years yearbook. If you want to be part of the club but don't think you can make it to the meeting after school on Tuesday stop by PSR and talk to Mrs. Aguilar.
